Destination
Geyikbayırı is a valley located 40 km away from Antalya Airport which is connected to many European cities with direct flights. Due to its mild temperatures and good quality rock, it is one of the world’s best climbing spots in Winter.
With its gorgeous colorful limestone walls, Geyikbayırı offers a variety of climbing that is suitable for all skill levels.
It has a vibrant international climbing community accommodating at the campsites in the valley. There are over 1000 routes that are 2 to 30 minutes away by foot from the campsites.
With this trip we are offering:
- having a good time away from the city and the routine. We believe that the most successful climber is the one who is having the best time
- improving your skills and technique through practicing in a new environment and with our clinics
- making progress on your fears and insecurities with guidance and being able to enjoy climbing more
- getting to know a new culture and Turkish cuisine
- discovering the rich history of the region and visiting some of the most well-kept Roman ruins
- bathing in a Hamam and getting rid of all our hard earned climbing skin and going back to having a newborn skin

Details of the Trip
We offer an 8-day long trip for group sizes between 4-8 people. We recommend flying into Antalya on Friday, one day before the course starts. On the first night, we will meet, cook together, get to know each other.
Next two days we will climb on different walls and get ourselves orientated with the new rock and climbing style. We will learn or repeat some rope management skills or movement techniques depending on the group’s need and we will work on routes together.
We will have two rest days under the week, so your body and fingers can recover. On a rest day, our favorite thing to do is to go down to the town have a huge and long Turkish breakfast and drink as much black tea as possible. On the rest day, we have options of;
- visiting the great ancient ruins of Thermesos or Perge
- hiking up the nearby mountain to see the other ruins of Trebenna
- go down to the city for shopping and swimming
- or if you are really motivated,
- drive up the mountain for skiing 🙂
(Please note that, for some of these rest day activities, a car/taxi is needed. You might want to rent a car from the airport on your arrival.)
Now since we are a bit more used to this rock and probably rested. Following days we will work on your lead climbing and can do some specific workshops around our chosen routes such as; overhang/tufa climbing techniques and knee baring, fear of falling, projecting mentality, or how to bail in the middle of a route…
This is a rough idea about the trip. Actually, since the expectations and needs of each group are different, each trip is different. There is not a cookie-cutter lesson plan. We are always asking what you want to do and trying to understand what you need for a fulfilling experience.

Accommodation & Food
Our main goal is to integrate you into the local climbing communities and for these purposes, we use local climbing campsites or places run by local climbers. You can choose between a bungalow, a dorm bed, a rental tent, or your personal tent. Even though it is warm in the daytime, outside temperatures at night can be as low as 5 °C, so even though there are blankets and heaters in the bungalows, we recommend bringing a warm sleeping bag.
After arrival, an airport shuttle will bring you to a large supermarket. We recommend you do your food shopping for the whole week. It is possible to go shopping in the town on a free day, but only by taxi. Campsites provide refrigerators, fully equipped kitchens, and drinking water. Eating out in the valley at two restaurants or at the food truck is possible.
